GUIDELINES REGARDING TOURNAMENTS OF THIS NATURE
GUIDELINES REGARDING TOURNAMENTS OF THIS NATURE

THE GUIDELINES ON THIS PAGE ARE GENERAL PROTOCOL AND NOT WRITTEN IN STONE . THEY ARE GOOD TO KNOW . THE STAFF OF VOTSCC KICK ASS TOURS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO AMEND ANY AND AL RULES TO COMPLY WITH OUR PROTOCOL
Below are some guidelines to follow for this event:
All game times and check-ins are based on shout box time (EST). The tournament will start and end on the same day.
Players MUST register to play on the challonge website at the link provided. The first (32) players are in the tournament, but sign-up anyway; as there may be players that don’t show up. A waiting list will start after the first (32) players have signed up.
*Challonge requires 16, 32, or 64 people to eliminate byes. We will shoot for 32 people each time but may need to make adjustments which may require byes, and this will be agreed upon with the administrators of the tournament.*
All registered players must meet in the shout box at least 30 minutes prior to start time and showing green in WGT. Before the blind draw is made, we will verify that players are here by looking at the shout box and WGT. If you are not in the shout box or showing green in WGT at this time, you will be replaced by the first person on the waiting list that is shout box available. You will then be moved to the waiting list.
Everything is based on a blind draw and adjustments do need to be made. After all the teams are set, you MAY receive an e-mail stating that you have been removed from the tournament (IGNORE THIS). DO NOT SIGN UP AGAIN! Challonge requires combining (2) players into one slot and assigning scoring rights to the first player listed. YOU HAVE NOT BEEN REMOVED, BUT HAVE BEEN LISTED AS A TEAM OR REMOVED AND REPLACED INTO A DIFFERENT LINE UP .

Why removed?
The tournament will begin after all teams are established. You will receive the link in the chat box which will show you the brackets for this tournament, your partner, and the course. It’s very important to be patient and please do not start your match until the administrators tell you it’s ok to start. The first player listed in the group of (4) is responsible for setting the game. The first person on the winning team is responsible for reporting the score.
BREAKS: A maximum of 10 minutes is allowed for a break period in between rounds. The break period starts after the teams moving into the next round has been established. The break period is negotiable between the participating teams, NOT to exceed the 10 minute time limit.
DISCONNECTS: If a disconnect occurs during the game and the game can be re-established within WGT time constraints, continue on with the match. If a disconnect occurs and game
CANNOT be re-established, WGT rules apply and the team that cannot reconnect is forfeited. The other team wins, no matter what the score is. We are required to use WGT rules.

I don't know how many times I posted the message above . 10 or 15 times at least . And I always get messages like the ones below . This Sundays event was no exception . The rules are not read . There are always a couple that have to question every procedure .
I must note that the below examples are old . Kevin and James both have proven to know the procedures . These below are just examples .
I always ask that everyone read the guidelines . And I know that very few do . It makes it hard for me to want to plan future events .
