It's all relative .
I used to complain about the 3 and out disconnects . and the 3 and out time outs . Now 2 and out . But that's just the way things are
3 strikes you're out .
Coming up in a few weeks is VOTSCC's 3 year anniversary .
3 years and I'm out .
This is going to a tough one . My instincts tell me to just get the fck out . My ass is kicked . 10 times over . Maybe more . Mentally , physically , financially , spiritually . To say the least .
But i never go with my instincts . Never . I always try it a different way .
What would work best is for me to become a member . Bury myself in the game . Get back into that zone .Check to see when the tourneys end . Give a shout out to a player that does something . But how would anyone know that ?
There are several weeks . Plenty of time to give you all food for thought . One of you could take over ownership . Everything is all laid out . How hard would that be ? You are the owner . If something isn't right . You just change . Make it right . That simple .
Everyone will hear you . Follow along . Smooth as silk . The voice of reason . I mean why wouldn't they ? You learned from one of the best . See how well it worked for him .
i hate to blow my cover , but if you didn't pick up on it , the above in bold , i am being facetious , i'm not going to lie , a new owner would get none of that ,
In that scenario . I could spend my time concentrating on my game . Playing and playing . Getting some -6's . And reaching Tour Legend . When I get done each day . make a post , comment , say hi . log off . forget about this place for a while . Doesn't sound too bad . Cough , cough .
There are some long ass articles in this CC forum and in the website . That I have written about why i was here . And all the events and activities , formats , tourneys , options , features . That inspired me to to want to provide the best ultimate experience i could think of for you guys to experience WGT in a CC . And of course everyone would jump all in . And suck it all in . Why wouldn't they .
It did kind of go that way the first couple years . With a lot of work . And a lot of efforts form a lot of GR8 members .
When I found out that none of it was real . None of the dedication , commitment , comradary , bonding , playing all the time amongst each other . Creating and building the beginning of something big . With countless posts . Citing this and affirming that we were here till the dying end . A circle that couldn't be broken . No matter what .
In real life . Those things happen . I have been involved in softball leagues , billiards leagues . That lasted for years , decades in some cases .
Not here . Words are nothing here . Not honorable . Hot air . to be discarded in a moment . With denial and disrespect . No honor or ownership for their actions . Evidently common practice all throughout WGT . Then and now .
Nothing about it is real . A complete fantasy . Who knew ? I do now .
I also know that here is a very small element of upstanding people with integrity . And heart and commitment . that stayed through all that . Through the thick and thin . the battles . my breakdowns . My rants and raves . Which most of you didn't have the pleasure to witness . But the ones that withstood those confusing and difficult times . Endured all my posts calling out the complacent and silent members . That thought they could share this CC with those members that had done the work proudly without fail . Unfaltered 100 times over and then some .
Members that i couldn't respect anymore than I do . Every move they made , every accomplishment , record , win . I would and will jump right on and thank and award , make a trophy for and let them know how much it meant tat they were doing all this right here in VOTSCC . To try and convey my heartfelt appreciation for them . Always graciously responding . Always .
There is no room for players that can't respect that . And from the start jump in full tilt boogy and begin their awesomeness here . Period .
You already know i have refined and minimized and simplified the registration to an easy 5 minute task at the most . Really only doesn't need to take more than playing 1 round .
But for some reason it does . I go and look and wonder when this recruit is going to play a round . Or even friend me . Since i've tried and failed a couple times already .
Check again . Okay they played and friended me . wonder how long it will take to respond tom their CC forum welcome . Much less register in the website . Let me go check the other 9 recruits . Shyt , fck , hell . same thing all over again . okay I'll go try and PM some of the ones that have friended me . Wonder if they will ever see it ?. Okay i'll go make 3 participation awards and 2 logo's . And a bracket tourney trophy .
Okay time for bed . Oh wait i didn't answer any messages yet . oh and damn i didn't play mt BLITZ . Wow there's an alt shot invite from mrcaddie . I'll play that and do the other stuff after . Okay 1 more round . Now i gotta answer some of these posts .
5 hours later I still haven't played my BLITZ . I'll start that right now . Hole # 7 . Wow an invite from Nansting cool . I can play this BLITZ tomorrow i guess . Click accept go to lobby . Game cancelled . Go back restart the BLITZ . only have time to play once these days better be good . After 7th hole 69,000 , 8th hole rolled down the hill 64 yards . 9th hole 4 ft from the hole . Final score 73,000 . Fcking piece of shyt .
Well that was an easy day . Tomorrow will be twice as bad .
I'm going to stop now . Go install some LED's . Get back to this later . before i accidentally delete it . last night I was on a roll . Felt like i had a magic pen . Then i clicked out to look up an old members name name " ctomrvet Or something . You remember him . When he joined and registered . It took him less than a minute . I made him a trophy . Last night I went to look up that trophy and then I deleted this post . What a dumbass .

Paul....I had a long Post here but I decide not to write it here ok, I lied....expect to PM you and tell my ral feeling and gratitude for having mas a 2rear member. I hope you re think your decision,,,I love the Valley, and the way you run it. I joined this club because of you and if you leave, I'm going to also. We made a great team and without you, we;re gong to be without a an owner....that is not a CC i want to be in. I've tried to make things easier for you so you had time to enjoy yourself hre, and this has really taken my by surprise. This CC is great because but because you made it that, it is t real deal. If you leave, I'm going with you or other friends ar the family I made her....I love the Valley and never thought of every leaving, but I am going to should the Club fold. There is no other CC I want to join....You have a very good thing here, and it's because of you, and the member and Directors. and you only, the members, for the most par as been awesome and I've become fiends and family with most of everyone, ,especially yourself and I'm in hope your just blowing off steam. In my eyes, the CC is moving a great speed,, and we're now getting stronger day by day. The Bracket are no big deal,,,,we have to beg a little but they eventually fill. Multiplayer round are increasing and the only sticking point is having CC vs CC matches....as fun as they are, we have to come to the realization that the CC were is gonna play is made uo of far superior members....we're going to get our ass kicked.Champions and legends....we're gonna get out asked kicked bit time,I fyou do decide to leave, I don;'d thin anyone Including myself, who are going to take over, so it;s the end of our great club. granted there are members who can give a gobut if you do decide to leave, I in no way want to take over ownership,,,,I fell i do enough here to cement my membership in the CC....I can promise you that if you leave, I'm gone also. We have numerous members who could on to for guidelines, and you've been very god friend with them, but in the same breath, we have members who can really give a rats ass....get rid if the,,,,we are back to go back to 49 members, but that's good for me....those are 35 great members. You make the club a special club and I enjoy it to now truly and absolutely.everything to you think don't kid anything abouteverything you nuilt vere and really consider the work you put into it....i try to help you have less things to deal and being able play, and I think that i a it's a big thing to help you out. I really hope you're hoping to free you up time snf not quit for the way the CCc is going.If it's the members, just get rid if the dead weigh that's pissing yo off...they are only a few, and not gonna to names 9 other than Amatri)...way too much drma for you for you to deal with. Jim . My many reasons to want to not be an owner here anymore . Do not include letting the CC fold .
I do not know a good solution at this moment .
Also . Just to let you know . There aren't any words that can tell you or describe the enormous relief you have provided for me . Allowed me to focus on other workings and lift the pressure off of making every single tournament we had .
So incredible the way you took it on and tested it and refined it . Always asking our input . Posting the new ones announcing each new round . Listing the players that had not played . Keeping us informed about every round for every tournament .
NO OTHER CC HAS THAT .
I know how much you have done to make it easier for me .
And many many more . Your have been the funnest of all .
I really think it would be to everyones benefit to keep the CC rolling . I mean why can't I be just a member now ? It's my damn turn .
Nothing is lost on what you have meant to this CC . Which of course is why it means so much to me .

I hear you and completely understand. First of all you do a great job and along with your great directors the club is a pleasure to be a part of. I throughly enjoy myself with more tournaments than I can play, great clubmates and great competition.
In my other two CCs I was a director and while enjoyed myself the activities not involving playing took away from the overall enjoyment. When I moved to VOTSCC I resolved to be a player, good clubmate, and contribute to the club but no interest at all getting involved in anything other than being a participant. It has been great, my enjoyment level s high, my game has improved and I'm very happily cruising along. This could be you.
However, I'm not sure the Paul I know will be content with that level of involvement. You're simple too invested in the great operation of your club.
So, take a long slow look at what you want to do and what will give you the maximum enjoyment. As you've told us many times, this is a game, it's here to be enjoyed, and we all need to decide what gives us the most enjoyment for the efforts we put in.
Whatever you decide you will have the respect and support of all the members here.

Very simple . The other side of the coin . The winning side . The awesomeness that so many of you keep countering at me and each other and the CC and WGT . Just plain kicking some fcking ass right and left . Every time I turn around . . I can't lose for your winning . You won't let me . Not that I want that . No way Jose . You guys bring it . Many of you . So since that is so apparently easily and attainable ( you guys make it look easy ) . That drives me to light a fire under the others that seem to be oblivious .
And the cycle starts all over again . I set myself up . And back down . back and forth . Hot and cold . So near and yet so far .
Concentrating on the deficient areas . To bring them up to speed . Has to be part of it . No way I can let that just ride and be good with all that is good . That's not the way it works . DufferJohn7:

The little that I touched on above . In just those areas mentioned above . The procedures and depth and length and attempts and retries and then again from a different approach . Are more involved and time consuming that one would think hope or expect .
There are some other completely different tasks features and activities that I do on a regular basis are also hardcore time consuming . .
I originally had envisioned a much more activity and event involved variety of formats and events and features to create and incorporate and make available for us . Many of these that had enjoyed some level of success and fun . And also took a lot of work . But are now dead in the water .
Originally the website was a big part of my plan . To be utilized more . For some things that it was good for . One of them was the Chat there . It was used . Quite extensively for quite a while . A very easy to use 1 click away access . With realtime chat . You know right there typing and answering each sentence . With as many players that were there at the time . It was common place and part of members routine . To stop by the chat and post a remark . With a good chance some one else would be there . You could do this while you were in the middle of a round in WGT . Pop in say hi . If thre was someone there that you wanted to play with . And they as well . You could make that arrangement . Return to your round and know you had something else set up after you were done . The urgency to have to quit your round right then was not there .
You could leave messages right in the chat dialogue that would be seen by someone you wanted to or a random person ( another CC member ) that replies . You could just pop in and leave a joke . The next few would see it . But a lot of matches were arranged there .
This all was during the same year that we hosted http://challonge.com/ multi player bracket tournaments every Saturday and Sunday . http://challonge.com/ . is an online bracket provider for sporting events all over the world . These brackets were run live . I embedded them in a portal page in our website . With our chatroom right below the live bracket .

Things were going quite well ( as well as things can go with a bunch of online golfers all in the same place ) lol . Until the WGT invisible invite glitch debacle .
Our event came to a screeching halt . No way to invite . No way to play . That's been over a year ago now . I have tried a couple events since . Different group of players these days . Don't seem to have the same enthusiasm for multiplayer events that used to be so evident .
The enthusiasm or at the very least GR8 interest is a very important criteria amongst other needed disciplines and patience and a sense of humor and the necessity to be communicative and willing to follow protocol . to enable these events to be successful . And then some .
But after that the chat use there faded into oblivion . And now obscurity .
Our current Desert BLITZ Daily BLITZ players use the site every day . Briefly . Just for their BLITZ recording of their daily score .
. Which entails clicking to the post for the weeks courses POST DAILY BLITZ SCORES HERE.
These members have moderator permissions to edit in their scores , click send and off they go . Never stopping to see who else is online .
How is that easy cool event not more popular ?
People , users , members are all different these days . My experience with high activity is very limited . But I have had it . a couple years ago . And speaking to many WGT CC owners . I have learned that even in some of the larger CC's much of what used to be much more active has either slowed considerably . Or even discontinued . the same as i have experienced in just our WGT CC .
So much of it made so much sense to me . Things that don't require anything from the members i thought were cool added bonuses . Like I have recorded every CC tourney since mid 2014 . Every winner , all the top winners . Every month without fail . A lot of work . I don't mind at all not sorry i ever did any of that . Just surprised that there is not a little more interest in it . The stats and trends and patterns and how many's , how oftens . Who's . I think it's cool and I didn't ever win . It's things like that . That make me realize . I'm so wrong . So not like what is going to get a charge . Barking up the wrong tree .
Same with the in CC challenges . Throws me for a loop . The King , The Magic Star , The Golden Dragon , The Royal Moon , In CC Stroke and Match Play Challenges . I mean how cool is that ? With a title . We are not a credit CC . That is all of our choices . But where is that healthy competitive spirit and drive . The events are right there . Sounds like hella fun to me . Not .
One of the interesting things about all this that I haven;t mentioned yet in this letter .
I / we had been running the CC for a year before I started to build , design , create and introduce the website .
I had already learned some important things about what works and what doesn't . Something that has always been very important to me is getting input from everyone involved . Listening and sharing ideas . I have always thrived on hat type of brainstorming . There has only been small amounts of that here . A main factor in my original plan . This whole concept is supposed to be a member based and run effort .
I have no desire to tell people what to do . Getting a group to all be on the same page in real life is an undertaking . To say the least . it works best when responsibilities are delagated to areas of expertise and familiarity . Then flourish from there . Always voluntarily and hopefully creating a ripple effect all meshing into a GR8 group with GR8 success .
Immediately I found that that was going to be much harder than I could imagine . Here in WGT . Almost as though I was completely alone . And only got worse as time went on .
I could not get through to anyone . No one wanted to step up . No one would respond . No one would play any of the tournaments . When I say no one I mean 85 of the 90 players that had signed in to the CC in a week and a half .
You can probably guess who they were . Kekanaranjo my best friend here , Paullefty paul our very first member . JDShoemaker , The heart and pillar of integrity for our CC . A guy named CLJ73 . Who won every tournament for the first year . And myself .
The only ones that played . And of those . Myself and JD had the only communication . Lefty posted now and then .
So at the end of that first year after posting dozens of custom written individual messages on each or those players walls and PM's . My WGT program does not have the abilty to group message in the PM's and the message all members has never worked in my profile owners tools . . Can't be fixed . Others have the same problem . What amounted to hundreds ( custom written to match the situation o that member) of messages to these players in a years time .
I tied to stay calm and mature and only suggesting that they just message me once and play 1 tourney . ....NOTHING . So at the end of that year i removed 54 in one night .

- That story ends right there . This has come to the point that a slow explanation and understanding of what has transpired for the next two years will not help my self or anyone else to understand and do nothing towards a reconsideration of my decision .
From where I stand . The situation has gone from bad to worse to unbearable . Although I am compelled to relay all of the problems that lead me to say it is unbearable . I don't fucking feel like it right now . Let's just say there has been a complete communication breakdown . With out communication . There is nothing for me .

Oh wait . I remember . It is a very common WGT glitch to accept an invite only to have it cancel immediately . Nothing to do with the inviter . Except that I unfortunately wasn't able to play with that very cool person . And also lose the round I exited out of . No ones fault but mine for accepting and WGT for having a faulty invite and invite notification system .
Besides that . I only used you in a hypothetical example of a very real frustrating circumstance . I chose you as a notably popular and desirable multi player round player . Didn't think you'de mind . Lol . UGH . nansting17:

They will enter the CLASH . I would rather not deal with it , would rather not think about it , would rather not keep politely trying to connect with them .

3 years of battles frustration , complacency , disrespect . ignoring , failures . That I feel I have handled very well . But finally the lid blew right of the popper .
Until you have been in these shoes and dealt with the hundreds . Yes hundreds of individuals that make up this world of WGT virtual online golfers . As I have . Hundreds of the millions on here world wide . Hundreds just in the CC . Thousands site wide .
And not until then can anyone judge my actions . The turnover rate for CC owners is extremely high here . IDK what that means but if I were to guess . I would say more than 1 per day . Probably not as many as there are CC's created . But a high number .
Pharmaceuticals could go a long way in the necessary maintenance needed to do this on a daily basis . Could help and have helped . But not a must . And not a solution .

Paul...please rethink your decision. If you do leave I want to go with you. I want nothing to to running the CC...I' probably going to follow you...you are my friend and they are hard to come by. I can see your frustration but please stay and lead us...Jim
