That is interesting Mike . But fine . The way I look at it . Is that alt shot with 3 other players and stroke games with 3 other players ( both especially if they are club members) are a good social round . The difference being that the stroke round counts toward your average and the alt shot doesn't . Socializing doesn't interfere with my concentration . In fact I try to step up the competition when the round counts . Playing multiplayer rounds amongst piers is a good test to what we work towards in our CC tourneys in solo play . IMHO .

It really is what we are all working toward ( I think ) is to be able to step up when playing our piers and be able to show what we can do . It is I think the hardest type of play . But a little funner amongst friends .

Mike invited me to play an AS game the other day - same day I joined this CC as a matter of fact - and he tried to get several other of this CC's members to join that game (members who were GREEN.....errr Paul, hint, hint, hint) but several turned down the invite (as they said they were already playing in a game - yet their status was shown as GREEN) and several (err Paul, hint, hint, hint) never responded at all.
So Mike asked me if I wanted to play a Stroke play game and I had to decline as I simply don't play multi-player Stroke or Match games as both will affect one's average (and almost always not for the better).  I will happily accept all invites for an Alternate Shot game or a Skins game.  Both of those won't affect one's average at all.
My goal is to get my average down to 60.00 so I can move up to the next level here - so if I decline an invite to play a multi-player Stroke or Match play game that will be the reason the invite is declined.

Kelly , these are good questions and have been asked many times before . I will briefly explain these at this time . i need to go to sleep .
      First please read this
Friending a WGT CC member is the same thing as shaking the hand of a team mate . Period . Here in VOTSCC especially . You have nothing to fear from the less than 60 members here in our very cool CC . Much to gain though .
First friending a CC members only does a few things .
      1) enables a green dot when available  available only means that their computer is on and are logged into WGT and are not in the middle of a multi player round . Does not mean they are staring at their computer screen waiting for invites to decline .

      2) enables WGT PM messaging ( top of friends profile page not yours ) . Which allows one to communicate to one another . Communicate welcome and intersting messages as there would be no other reason for a fellow CC member to message you .

      3)  Opens a unique and elite pipeline of communication of opportunity bteween the always awsome and interesting and friendly members of VOTSCC that are always more than willing to step up and back you up and help in anyway more than any other place in WGT.

Friending someone in WGT does not disclose any personal information about yourself . Other than you too are an awesome member of VOTSCC .

Speaking for myself .If you had any idea of the incredible amount of time I spend on a daily basis posting , editing , copy and pasting , creating trophies , awards , replying , reading  , investigating etc , etc , etc . All the while leaving my status green . WGT also allows ones status to remain green during single player rounds which include of course CC tourneys . This gives one the ability to receive an invite during game play . Giving one the ability to chose to accept , but certainly not obligated to in any way . You might be in the middle of a very enjoyable round . Hence the " already playing a round " .
I do know that just because a member is green . They may have no idea there is an invite . They may be at Walmart . They certainly are not sitting staring at their computer just waiting to decline invites .
I really got to go . Tomorrow I have a lot more to tell you
here is a chart I made to help you know just what does count on your average
    9 SHADES OF GREY

Below there are 9 different match or game formats listed . These are all very fun and exellent formats for us to enjoy here at WGT . Each one of these formats would not be one that would have any way to record a round that would be able to a effect ones average in anyway .
( of course with the exception of match play rounds up to the level of Legend  . After which point would no longer have any effect one way or another , up or down on ones average ).
      This is all correct
I have been asked this question frequently . The above is the only way I can figure out to explain it .
For instance . If one decided to play any one of those 9 formats for a period of say 1 year exclusively . During that year , said persons average would do nothing . Neither go up or go down .
Does not affect me at all one way or another . Just trying to confirm this to be true . FYI

To pick up where I left off . I  play at least a couple rounds with CC members everyday . More with you guys than has ever been possible before . I am so enthused about the new levels of CC member play . We are definitely headed in the right direction . We can only get better . With so many more of you so conscientious now . Because it does take more effort from all . I am hoping the days of blatant complacency are behind us .

I have more but I gotta go to Walmart .

That is of course your choice . I hope you can still make time for multi player rounds occasionally . Dedication to ones average is admirable .
It's no secret . We ask a little more here . It is just part of what we do here .

So what is the total lack of dedication to one's average considered.
