It's been a while since I expressed some of my objectives for the CC . First of all I like and respect everyone that joins our club . I realize that not everyone knows what a CC is all about . Many have different reasons for joining . I really don't know how many of the other clubs are run . They are all different . What I want to emphasize in our CC is that whatever tier you are . That you feel comfortable here , part of a team of players that come here to find conditions that enable them to improve their game , hone their skills , lower their scores ,lower their averages , move up in tiers . Enjoyably and comfortably with the conditions that challenge them enough to keep that drive without the frustrationsof regular game play . All that is completely possible by either creating those tourneys yourself or by messaging me about it . Or someone else in your tier that has been creating tourneys . Any kind of information that you need to know should be provided here , any kind of appp , calculator , help , tutorial , tournament , statistic , message , opinion , gripe , compliment , etc , etc . Should able to be aqcuired here ( or in our website , as it may be easier there ). With your help , all of this can be done easily . We already have a good start . I am going to be here for a very long time trying to achieve all this . For any of you that think it's a good direction for your CC to go in . Then lets keep on keepin on . Sincerely , Your Co team member PDB1 , Paul ( sitting here on a rare rainy day ) May the SUN always be with you
Re: Where are the Flags ?By Bertasion in Valley of the Sun Casual Club The other day upon the heather fair I hit a flagstick that was not there. I saw it's shadow and heard the clank but where it stood was just a blank. It was not there again today. I wonder when it will come back and stay. Brian

How To Shoot Low Scores On WGT
How To Shoot Low Scores On WGT
Spend Money To Make Money On WGT
One of the main reasons that players are able to shoot low scores on World Golf Tour is because of their equipment. When you play the game you are given a starter set of clubs and balls. These are just the basic clubs, you can upgrade to better equipment. To do this however you need credits. Credits are valued at $1 for 100. You can purchase creditsor you can win them or earn them. The fact is that if you want the best equipment you need to pay for it. Most players recommend making a small deposit to get some credits, then buy some decent clubs and then win credits in the games and tournaments you can take part in.
So what clubs should you be looking for and how much do they cost? Well a top of the range driver such as the Taylor Made R11 will cost you 1,695 credits or $16.95. However this will on average hit the ball 57 yards further than a basic driver. Plus it will be more accurate and more forgiving. The irons are the same, if you splash the cash you will hit the ball further and with more control. Irons also give you more spin if you pay more for them, this makes it easier to control your shots and get close in to the pin.
Putters are also important, ones with a slow meter speed are often very valuable, but also feel and accuracy are important. Equip your bag with the best clubs you can afford and you will see your scores coming down.
Another very important element of WGT is the balls. The basic balls do not fly far and are hard to control. If you spend money and buy a good pack of ball then you can hit the ball further, add more spin and gain far greater control of your shots. Again though balls are not cheap, for a top of the range Callaway ball you are looking at over $1 per ball, so if you hit a few into the water this will be an expensive round. All the players who shoot really low scores though use these balls and if you want to compete you must spend your credits.
- Tips For Low Scores On WGT
So now hopefully you have the correct equipment, how exactly do you use it? First of all you need to learn all the courses off by heart. The best way of doing this is picking one course and just playing it over and over again. Let’s take Bethpage Black as an example. This is a difficult course, but when you learn course management your scores will start to tumble. For instance, hole 4, the short par 5. The green is often reachable in two shots even from the back tees. However, the chances of getting anywhere near the hole on your second shot are very slim. Chances are you are going to leave yourself a tricky third from the long grass or the bunker. So with your second shot just lay up around 70 yds short of the green. Now you can play a wedge into the green. You want to be hitting your wedge at least 90%, this will give you more control over the shot.
As you play the courses you will learn which shots you should be playing. Some holes are deceiving, it may say you have 150yds to the hole, but on some holes this may be misleading, you hit a 150yd club and go 50 ft past the flag or come up short of the green. Learn these shots and get used to playing them, then the shot you need play will become second nature.
Another major factor in shooting low scores on WGT is hitting the dreaded ding. There is no real key to this other than practice. If you play a round where you hit every ding then chances are you are going to shoot very low scores. The trick is to hit it as often as possible and when you do miss it only miss it by a small amount. One factor that can ruin a round is meter glitches, more often that not this is down to your personal computer and nothing to do with WGT. It is very frustrating but by playing on a fast computer that runs smoothly you will find there will be less annoying glitches that ruin your swing.
The Final Word On WGT
Some players have accused others of cheating. Most people would agree that there are cheats on WGT but the fact is they are few and far between. The top players do not use cheats, yes they shoot scores that can boggle the mind but when you play with these players you see that it is down to skill rather than cheats. Players who do use cheats on WGT are soon found out and removed from the game.John - azdewars
