       i just wanted to take a moment to thank some of the many GR8 CC's . That over time , by virtue of a GR8 owner , or GR8 members , or a GR8 program or agenda , or any combination thereof . Have shown the highest levels of sportsmanship , respect , knowledge and fun And are all GR8 ambassadors to the game . This is only a partial list as it could go on forever .      None necessary . We have a propensity to offer our opinions to all comers . if we can remain civil in our varied opinions . Then the open forum is working correctly . i think that typically we remain professional and free of insults and degrading . If we can get through it no worse than we have . and always strive for a professional mutually satisfying difference of opinion . That is when we disagree . Then all should be good . Lol . What did I just say ? Peace man . There is plenty of room for the two of us .

      I think there are 61 CC's on that list . Those are my top 61 in no particular order . i have had positive contact with each one of them in one way or another .
      There are many more that i know have earned my respect . Then on top of that .
      There are even still a GR8 number of CC's that reputations as top notch precedes them . And i have not had the pleasure or opportunity to encounter . 
      All in all I am guessing that these lists compile somewhere upward towards 10,000 of the finest WGT members . That's a number I surely can be proud and happy to be connected to . 
      To think that there are perhaps 10 to 50 . maybe 100 times more that i have never even or heard of . CC's and members within them . Is an incredible thought . There are some that estimate many more than that . Who knows ?

    I totally agree with the first part Paul.....and at times I have strayed from the remaining civil part.....
    But this is our only outlet to vent, suggest and discuss this great game, but if we can do it in an objective manner, then at least everyone can absorb the data and make informed decisions.
    With the second part and the CC's listed, indeed a very well thought out list and I am pleased and humbled Cosa Nostra was included.
    CC's are the lifeblood of WGT for many players, and without them, many of us would have stopped playing - I certainly would have.
    I am sure there are hundreds more great CC's out there and credit needs to go to their owners and directors for their hard work in making them great clubs. But that is only part of what makes a good CC great - the members make them great.
    So for all members out there, support your CC by playing events, friending other members, playing with each other and conversing in the CC forum, I see no point in being a member and not participating in CC events.

    I fully agree Paul. I certainly strive to abide by the common decency you allude to...then I provide advice, or tell a joke, or make a mistake...or even post a compliment on a wall...and out they crawl.
    That said, even though I've been accused of everything from being a hypocrite to a drama queen (no examples are apparently necessary)...I've never been accused of cheating. No doubt the worst thing one can be accused of in here. Which also seems to occur with no proof attached.

      Absolutely . But why is it that so many do not feel the same way . I know what a good CC member is because I have some . But so few of the many that have crossed our path would even give us the time of day .
      I am sure it is just the luck of the draw . And the fact that most players that are interested in CC's are already in them .

    Gee that is the $64,000 question.
    It is hard to get the right mix of players but unless the player is recommended, then it is difficult with any new recruit.
    Owners cannot see their CC history (how often they change, play or interact) and the player will never really know what the club is like until joining. No due diligence here - you can look at score history, not a lot more.
    As you say, most players who are in CC's will not move unless they are not satisfied, so getting good new members can be difficult.
    I have been in 3 clubs - first was when I hit TP/master a large 250 member club. I joined as it was primarily Australian so was easy to get games in with members as we were mostly in the right time zone. However I disagreed with a few things so left and the club imploded.
    #2 was started by a mate - 12 or so members - all really good guys and we would play AS together all the time. Slowly they stopped playing.....so I finally left after explaining to the owner (we remain good friends)...sadly he closed the club that day.
    #3 and probably last (unless I get booted out) is CN. Whilst we have a few members who do not play, it is pretty active and a great bunch of guys. People that I would happily have a beer with and talk to the wee hours if we met. It is not large, nor do we want it to be, but we want the right people who fit in and will play. I know the members by name, nit by a ID or number. I sometimes feel members of large CC's just get a little lost. It is fine to play tournaments, but it is also another to learn about them and what makes them tick.

        My question was a bit rhetorical . And the answers are many . I still think it is very odd that so many WGTers defy the easy protocol of a normal CC . Surprising , their lack of experience in what it takes to become part of a working group . 
      I know that we could not make it any easier for them to fit right in and feel right at home .
      So I still believe that bad luck can only last so long . And good luck will find its way at some point . 
      Another odd and perplexing scenario is the CC's who's owners have abandoned the CC months and years prior . I have an extensive list of these CC's . Most are larger than 100 members . I have found that almost half of these CC's are filled with 90 % recruits . And new members join everyday . I am not kidding . These players remain recruits for ever . Without any guidance , leadership , assistance , or any clue .
      I have invited the members that have showed activity in the last couple weeks . Sometimes 2 or 3 times . I have only had a few of them respond . 
      The abandoned CC's with more tiers and activity . Also seem content to remain stagnant .

      Another can of worms . I don't think I have been accused of it either . 
      As a result of 3 now CC members and two fellow CC owners being disabled for what appears to be using a shared account . Each incident has a family member tied to the ISP.
      Something in these cases was not acceptable to WGT . I could see no wrong doing .
      For no reason neither the fact that I am a CC owner or the fact that I knew these players . Means in any way that I am aware of anything these players do .  I only know what I see and what I am told . Certainly not acceptable to be guilty by association . And am not at all concerned if there are those that doubt that .
