NEW GUEST COUNTER

I installed another free guest counter the other day . Just to see a few more statistics .

I just checked it . It shows 7 visitors from CHINA right now . YIKES !!!

RESULTS

For months now . I have been sceptical of my page counter .

Since 10/10/2020 it shows a total of 8155 pages read . With an average of a mere 8.6 pages per day .

Somehow that number just doesn't add up for me . Either it is wrong or you all are reading some extremely long pages . ( of which there are many of those ) . But not that many .

With just the number of daily visitors . Which I did not have a counters for . But I had an idea of how many .

I only had a visitor counter counting new visitors only . If you had visited before . You wouldn't be counted .

That counter shows a total of 2621 new visitors since 9/25/2020 . With an average of 2.5 new visitors per day .

I now have a reason to doubt that one .

My new counters are already showing some interesting stats

My hits/pages counter is showing    Since 5/30/2023 / 4 days . Now that's more like it .

My new visitor numbers are also different .



That one I installed on 5/29/2023 .

Since each day has see higher numbers than those shown . Then according to the site . Those numbers shown are counting the new visitors . And not counting repeat visitors .

Which makes a lot more sense . It shows a total of 170 visitors all being new . Making an average of 34 new visitors  per day . Over the last 5 days .

I am still going to investigate these and more of these free visitor counters . Until I am convinced I am getting relevant and accurate totals for the numbers I am interested in .

My old counter says there has been 57 new guests in the last week .

My new guest counter says there has been 343 guests . I guess that's total guests . New and old . Because that averages out to 49 per day .

Which sounds correct . As I glance at the number throughout the day . It ranges from about 30 to 60 .

So average of 49 seems right .

Now my old page counter says there has been 136 pages viewed in the last 7 days .

My new page hits counter says there has been 3995 .

That's a big difference . I'm inclined to think it's the larger # .

That would mean that each guest read about 10 pages ,

The old one suggests each visitor read 1/2 of a page .

The new webhits counter . Shows 5626 since 5/30/2023 , 11 days . That's page hits . I think . @ 512 per day . Wow ! That's a good amount .

Let's do a comparison of the old counters vs the new counters .

So what does that mean ?



What it means to me is that my old counters are incorrect . Both old and new visitor counters claim to count only new visitors . If you have been here before . You will not be counted .



Just going by that alone . And the average numbers I visibly see online everyday . Between 30 and 60 24/7 .



Seems to support the new counter completely . IDK what the old counter wasn't counting .



The page counters .



The old page counter . I always knew that couldn't be right . Averaging 8.7 pages per day .



In just 30 days . The new counter shows 9077 pages hit . Averaging 302.5 pages per day .



With 30 to 60 visitors at all times . 30 visitors reading 10 pages each is much more reasonable .



Again IDK what the old counter wasn't counting .



I'm leaning towards the new counters as being more accurate .



BTW . These counters are 4 different apps . I am sure I would get completely different results from 4 other apps .

After reading further . I am of the belief that the new webhit counter is counting the number of hits this websites receives then just move on . Total count .

Of those 1068 visitors . My old , new guest counter says there was 68 new guests .

I'm not going to know or care about pages read or viewed . Yet . The counters I have are free . I just have to try and decifer what they read .

It has been a little over 24 hours since I installed 2 more counters .

As you can see . The top one says that there have been

901 page views .

The next one says there has been

181 unique visitors . ( non repeats ) .

All since yesterday afternoon .

Interesting .

they are still running btw

I really don't care at all what the statistics are . A couple of my old counters don't work anymore . They just don't activate .

The new counters seem to be working okay .

What they say is that since 5/28/2023 . There have been 3150  visitors .

That's 35 they say unique visitors per day . Out of the last 90 days . I take that to mean new visitors that haven't visited before . But that could be wrong .

Now here is where the conflict comes in . Last count I had with the old counter . was from 9/25/2020 . To 5/28/2023 . Thats 1013 days . That counter said that there had been 2594 NEW VISITORS in that time period .

I always suspected that was not an accurate count . Because the visitor count had to be in the 10,000's

In just the last 90 days . The new counter has a count of 3150  visitors . That's over 10 times more than the old count .

Judging by what I see . This new counter is much more accurate .

Like I said . I really don't care . It is nice to know there is a good number of viewers .

I have a lot of content . But it really doesn't matter . It is all free . I don't have anything for sale . Once in a blue moon someone will advertise a product , website , or app .
