Good morning, my patrons!

We have another story woven into the tapestry of this epic! I am so glad this exists now and so excited to share! ETASKI's NEW PREQUEL TO SISTER SEEKERS " SONS TO KEEP " 32

The universal beta response was that it was a compelling read, providing insights on many characters in Sister Seekers, and changing some perceptions on various events despite "sort of" knowing how it ends.

Paraphrased: "I knew that a Priestess and her Sathoet were captured by the Ma'ab, and this influences a lot of Surfacing. I knew this is where they'd end up no matter what, but I had no idea how we would get there!"

I was reflecting on how the final event of this novella was always there in Surfacing from the beginning. However, the Priestess herself was a bit of a blank slate; later, we only had her Sathoet son, Vesram, in the epic by which to judge her. Given Vesram is appearing for the first time in Sister Seekers 8, this is well-timed! ETASKI's NEW PREQUEL TO SISTER SEEKERS " SONS TO KEEP " 32

Eris Adderly (who is doing the book cover for this novella) said, "This is a beautiful, bittersweet tale that does a fantastic job of meshing two lines of the overall Sister Seekers story together."

I also have a special request about sharing this prequel:

I generally ask that patrons keep their rewards for their own enjoyment out of respect for my publishing efforts and schedule, but this novella is an exception.

This is a free novella I will be making available to everyone without a pay-wall of any sort.

It would be nice if folks who read this were directed to my website to sign up for my newsletter and download their free e-book. That's the basic idea. ETASKI's NEW PREQUEL TO SISTER SEEKERS " SONS TO KEEP " 32

Nonetheless, I feel no protest if you share this prequel with someone else, or use it to recommend my series with those who might be interested. The information will be available both in this PDF and the free ebook to find my work online. Smile

The main obstacle I've heard from my core audience for years has been that when they try to recommend the Sister Seekers series, the first book is the "gatekeeper" and a very hard hit. I am aware of this; it was a deliberate choice on my part. It is what it is, and always has been, and I want that authenticity for the start of the saga.

This prequel contains the same basic worldbuilding, character development, and suggestions of the type of explicit scenes to expect in the first 3 books of Sister Seekers. This novella is literally a sampling of my writing style, my characters, and my setting. In a way, it is a shorter and less-harsh version of NDBU, Treasure Revealed, and especially The Daedal Pit. There are a lot of parallels.

The ideal is if someone enjoys this novella and wants to dive deeper, they will probably enjoy my series. I'd like folks to obtain it through my website, but I will not be whining if people find my series through this PDF instead. Smile

As Neil Gaiman once wrote, "Obscurity is a greater threat to writers than piracy."

As an independent author without a big publisher to promote my work, it's not in my best interest to encourage giving all my work away for free. ETASKI's NEW PREQUEL TO SISTER SEEKERS " SONS TO KEEP " 32 But at the same time, the difficulty will always be finding my audience, reaching those readers who might enjoy my work, and when I think about it, the scarier thing is to have done all this work putting out these books... only to have my story fall into a void and never be discovered or shared again.

So, for what it's worth, please note that "Sons to Keep" might make it easier for you to recommend my books to someone else, if you feel the urge to do so. ^_^ It's up to you.

I sincerely hope you enjoy reading it regardless. My greatest thanks for all of your support for so many years. Until next time! ~Etaski

Blurb:

The Spider Queen's Web extends from the Palace-Sanctuary to every corner of Sivaraus. In a society where Noble Matrons prize their daughters in public, the unwanted are sacrificed or enslaved among Priestesses in service to their dark goddess.
Irrwaer is an acolyte serving closest to the center of the web. She sees many strange things in the seat of power. She knows the Priestesses of Braqth may only give birth to sons to enter their true power, to prove their devotion to their Queen and their Goddess. She's been told it has always been this way.
New sons have been born in secret, intended to grant new purpose and influence to their eternally entangled mothers. Nowhere else in Sivaraus is the competition for male children more convoluted or desired.
Irrwaer is determined to step around the plots and snares while the threads are still loose, not focused on her. She tries not to make the web quiver and alert the hunters of prey nearby.
Inevitably, no Davrin is free from the Abyss and its dark touch. Whether Priestess or servant, mother or son, none shall escape the bondage born into their very blood.

Note from the author:
It’s been a decade since I began building the world of Miurag.
The beginning started in a small, dark place,
So that it could grow season by season
And become vast.
I recently published the seventh book of Sister Seekers, and the
eighth book brings about one of the most significant events for this era, the
Battle for Manalar.
By this point, the main story needed a prequel.
Now, we have one.
Welcome to Miurag’s underground city of Sivaraus,
Where our story begins .

Begin Sister Seekers with No Demons But Us, a polyamorous darkepic fantasy!

My name is Sirana of House Thalluen.
When my eldest sister broke her neck, the Red Sisters suspected that
I pushed her. They're watching me now. I'm afraid, but I'm also ready for
them.
I am too young to be trapped in the most wretched spot of any
scheme: accused of killing the Matron's heir. Dark Elves live for intrigue in
our underground city of Sivaraus, and justice means nothing to the Red

Sisters who enforce the Queen's edict. Yet, I know the rules bend for the
cunning and the bold, if only I can seize on the aspirations of those who
succeeded before me.
I must confront what lies beneath the ravening eyes of the Sisterhood,
for they will give me no choice. I must discover that which is unspoken as
they gaze at me. If I would thrive in pervasive webs of conspiracies, I must
fight to reweave my place within them.
In No Demons But Us, A.S. Etaski spins the first threads of an intense
and epic tale, in which the trials of a young Davrin test her resolve to rise
from the depths of the fear and hatred tearing her down.

Sister Seekers is adult epic fantasy with an ever-broadening scope,
perfect for fans of entwined plots, challenging themes, immersive
worldbuilding, and elements of erotic horror. Sexuality and inner conflict
play into character growth with nuanced intrigue, intense action, and
fantastical magic.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Etaski has entertained herself with fantasy stories since the first day
she sat on a school bus looking out the window. When hand-written letters
were disappearing, she scribbled no less than five pages to be worth the
postage. Her early stories were written by hand, and she had a writer’s
callus and three embarrassing novels before graduating high school.
She studied science, archaeology, history, and theater. Frank
discussions of sexuality or death were rare growing up, so she wrote
fantasies, theories, and observations within stories for deeper
contemplation or just to be entertained.
History speaks little on sexuality, yet biology demonstrates how it
sways basic choices. Drama reveals our strongest bonds but may fade to
black at its most intimate. In the Sister Seekers, the sex and the story are
inseparable, and their discoveries will change the journey of Miurag
without cutting away.
