Hello fellow WGTers, my name's not Yancy but I been a'wondering for a while who has the best reactions on this fine site in terms of dingerablility and whatnots.
The abilities to click your clicker and hit (or miss) the dinger precisely appears to be one of the key skills needed to shoot them low scores we been seein'. (I wouldn't know that for a fact cuz I ain't got the skills or the low scores.)
I have this little game which will test your hand eye coordination and report your average reaction time of 5 attempts. The objective is to get the lowest average reaction time.
I will give a Fastest Finger award to the top 10% of the entries (I gotta limit it to the top 15 places though.)
Multiple account rule: To be eligible for an award you must be a member of WGT for at least 3 months.

Here's what you do:
- Play the game using the link below as many times as you like. It is unlimited attempts.
- Screenshot your best scores and post them on this thread.
- Include your age group: (for curiosity's sake)
- Group I - Born before 1940
- Group 2 - Born in the 1940s or 1950s
- Group 3 - Born in the 1960s or 1970s
- Group 4 - Born in the 1980s or 1990s
- Contest ends August 3rd, 2011 at 11:59pm PDT

Nice score PhiEagles fan! I believe Lightning Legend kicks in a 1.0 though I've never seen one. Keep trying. I got that 0.0 a couple of times from an involuntary twitch! My best was on my 50th or so try. Mostly I'm a Muddling Master though.
Jim, I thought you could hit a fastball? Imagine BPB #2, draw it around the corner, aim right click early! LMAO!

GREAT THREAD andyson! Always look forward to see what funny thing your going to say or do next. So keep up the great work here in the forums. Anyways here is my attempt. I think I can do better though. And as you will see I got a 0.00 seconds too. If you look to the left where you see the sheep, you will see a sheep with a dart in it. That was done purely on accident. I will try to get to legend. Going to be tough though.

Tried it way too many times and just cant get it better then this although being a pretty good table tennis player... but I guess its not too easy to beat

I finally hit one of those zoooooomen sheep, but the sucker uped and died. Now they won't let me try again. Sorry about the dead sheep but I think we can still save the day and make some haggis.

Didn't save it since i don't know how to but I was 2194 and in group 2.
Those sheep are pretty quick bet they can outrun a lot of the ranchers.

I don't get it. Are we saying (Without predjudice) that there is a possibility that not only does the truth hurt, but also that some duplicity is suspected, or that a newly baked member is non capable of having a reasonably spritely finger? This of course deters me from entering my own scorecard where I was given the lofty title of legend whatever, coupled with a broken Prnt Scrn/SysRq button. I fall into the 25/30 thingy although I lack the accuity to remember the exact wordage and must thus suppose I fail with an epicicity equal only to my apathy. I do believe I can be PM'd with all the goss on who is pretending to be who, whether or not the truth hurts, and can promise you this- the not knowing is killing me. Lizzie xx Ps. Why on earth is Mio still on the persona non gratis list? Surely there are more pressing concerns than well, the truth hurting...

Surely supposing supposition of multi-accountancing be true, then this could imply membership for longer than three months. I do believe a re draft to cover this cavernous loophole is required.
I suggest something like the following:
You have to enter your age thingwotsit.
You have to have a screenshot posted here.
Be aware that if you are a practicing or non practicing, or just even thinking about it multi accounter and you enter this competition with intent or non intent to decieve, then you will be found out because those darts are soaked in lietelling solution and you will be sussed effect immediate for the low self esteemed, small dik ked, attention seeking, life lacking, low moralled piece of sewage that you really are and plus as well the owner of the game has the right to only award the prize to that rossetti chick in any case so well whoopie ding you just wasted your time loser and because nobody reads the small print anyway you won't even know that you just were upstaged by a girl who can see up your nostrils because she stands two feet shorter than you but that doesn't mean she can't kick your flabby gayed ass all the way back to the basement at mummies house where in truth you feel entirely at home in this made up world of yours alongside all those self drawn awards pinned to mummies fridge and with said mater always there to dab your lips with a spit soaked handkerchief and smooth your carflict when Aunties come to tea and tell you my how you've grown and what a clever little chap you are as they pinch your cherubic dimples and fawn just before planting a lipstickie kiss that smells of powder on your forehead making you feel that you are a winner with the ladies when actually you lack the resource and integrety to even look one in the eye you sad example of our great race brought into this world only to provide balance to Darwins theory of evolution a concept entirely foriegn to you since it is obvious even you are not happy with you which is why you felt the need to create another account one in which you can be king.Enjoy retardo.

I found some benchmark data on reaction times and a similar test on this site.
The average (median) reaction time of almost 4 million tests is .215 seconds. It also says anything below .100 likely includes lucky guessing.
It also offers tips to improve your reaction time from the fastest users.

No, no, no Pugs, its all our fault! I'm sure your caches, drivers and browser are all fine and our minimum requirements are IBM PC XT 640kb RAM, Intel 8088 @ 4.7Mhz with 56K modem so you got all that I'm thinkin'. I will get our dev on that problem immediately and he's on the way to the office as I type, yes on a Sunday.

At the end I waived the "screenshot needed" rule as a few did not know how to make one or post one.
The 30 and under Group 4 showed their good reflexes and took 3 of the top 5 spots!
Per the original awards schedule, with only 17 entries I would give out only 2 awards. So I decided now instead I will give out 3 awards, 1 to each of the top scores in each age group. Here they are.

Maybe WGT (Admin or forum mods) could take a quick looksie in their admin panel to see if that IP address has been used to log into any other accounts.....then again, maybe that's asking too much.....but a simple database query would take a matter of seconds and ya never know....THT may just be caught in the poop using a static ip.

Either way, there'll be an IP address that can be Geo-Located etc..etc...etc.
